Senior Center Trunk or Treat Oct. 31
The Senior Citizens are sponsoring a Trunk or Treat from 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in the Senior Center Parking Lot.
4-H Halloween Chili and Hot Dog Supper Oct. 31
The Chester County 4-H program will host a Chili and Hot Dog Supper on Halloween Night. Stop by the UT Extension office for a bowl of chili, hot dog and a drink for $5 per person. Food will be served from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Halloween night. Indoor seating and bathrooms will be open to trick-or-treaters.
4-H Howloween Costume Contest Oct. 31
Dress up your furry friend for the first ever 4-H Howloween Pet Costume Contest on Thursday, Oct 31. Bring your pet to the UT Extension office at 6 p.m. on Halloween for judging. Prizes will be given for winners in three different categories. There is a $5 entry fee for each pet. Please make sure your pet is on a leash.
CC Historical Society Meeting Nov. 4
The Chester County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Senior Center. Evening program will be presented by Anna Wulfert Kirk. She tells the story of her parent’s WWII survival and journey from Ukraine to Germany and finally to Scotts Hill. Come join us.
Dining with Diabetes Begins Nov. 7
UT Extension—Chester County will be offering a free workshop in November that addresses how to manage diabetes more effectively. Local healthcare professionals will be speaking on diabetes management and answering questions. Each session will include sampling healthy recipes and door prizes. There is no registration fee, but you must reserve your spot. Register by calling the UT Extension office at 989-2103.
Veterans Day Ceremony Nov. 8
Chester County Veterans are invited to the Veterans Day Ceremony at the Junior High at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Students, parents and local officials are also invited. Please use the front and east parking lots. 
Roby Fire Department Fundraiser Nov. 9
Roby Fire Department fall fundraiser on Nov. 9. Food at 4:30 p.m. Chili,  hotdogs,  and hamburgers. Cake walk at 6 p.m.
Phillips School Reunion Nov. 9
The Phillips School Reunion will be held Nov. 9 at the Hickory Corner Community Center on Hwy. 225 in Hickory Corner. Friends and family also are invited. Bring a dish and inexpensive bingo gift, as this year we will play bingo following lunch. For more information, call Judy Cranford at 989-2080 or Edith Sills at 608-3288.
Terry Frye Benefit Nov. 9
There will be a benefit for Terry Frye starting at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 at Jack’s Creek Elementary School. All proceeds will go to Terry as he battles a serious illness. There will be food for sale beginning at 11 a.m. including hamburger plates for $6 and hotdog plates for $4. There will be a cakewalk from 3-4 p.m. and a silent auction for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Raffle tickets for a Brand New 40” Hisense Roku television will be sold for $1 with the winner announced at 4 p.m. Kids can enjoy face painting and corn holes.
Veteran’s Day Parade Nov. 11
The Veteran’s Service Office will host a Veteran’s Day Parade beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the Church of Christ parking lot. All Veterans are invited to join. If you do not have a ride, the Veteran’s Service Office will arrange one. The program will begin at 11 a.m. in City Hall, and the High School will provide lunch after the program.
Henderson Hee Haw Hootenanny Nov. 15,16
The 7th Annual Henderson Hee Haw Hootenanny presented by The Peoples Bank is right around the corner! Save the dates for Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16. Both shows will begin at 7 p.m. at Williams Auditorium on the campus of Chester County Middle School. This is a fun show filled with music, laughter, jokes, and a good ole’ time! All of the cast are community members and Chamber of Commerce volunteers! Come on out and enjoy the show! To purchase tickets, go to www.williamsauditorium.com.
Christmas with the Annie Moses Band Dec. 13
The PBS string sensation re-imagines the Christmas season with stunning arrangements of beloved carols at Williams Auditorium, 634 E. Main St., at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13. Doors open at 6 p.m. with 5:30 p.m. VIP Access. Cost is 22 general admission. VIP Access, which includes early access, exclusive meet & greet, and premium seating, is $35.
