Library Book Sale now-30
The Chester County Library Friends of the Library book sale will be going on from Sept. 1-30 during normal business hours! We have many great teen/young adult, children’s, juvenile and adult books available for purchase! Hardback books are 50 cents, paperbacks are 25 cents or a bag of books (the library provides the bag) is $3. DVDs are $1, TV series are $2 for 2 discs or fewer and $3 for 3 discs or more, CDs are $1, audiobooks are $2, and VHS tapes are free. We hope to see you during the month of September! 
Finger Barbeque and Picnic Oct. 2
Annual Finger Barbeque and Picnic will be Saturday, Oct. 2. There will be party jumpers for the kids good food, live music and fun for the whole family. We will serve whole hog barbeque and chicken, homemade ice cream and baked goods. Parade will be at 10 a.m. For more information, call 731-439-5516. All proceeds will go to the Finger Vol. Fire Dept.
Hope Outdoors Oct. 14
Hope Outdoors will host their annual dinner and auction from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 14 at The Barn at Snider Farms in Denmark, TN. Ticket prices are $500 for corporate table, $60 for couples, $40 for a single ticket, $20 for a junior ticket (ages four-13). Children three and under are free. FHU Associates Fall/Winter Rummage Sale Oct. 28-30
The Freed-Hardeman University Associates will be conducting their Fall/Winter Rummage Sale Thursday, Oct. 28, though Saturday, Oct. 30, at the National Guard Armory, 759 E. Main St. The sale will include household items, clothing and accessories, furniture, tools, books, etc. Masks must be worn. Times are 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday (everything half-price) and 7:30 a.m.-noon Saturday (fill 13 gallon plastic bag for $5 or a 300 gallon plastic bag for $10; everything else half price).
Jacks Creek Fire Station Stew Sale Oct. 30
Jacks Creek Fire Station Annual Stew Sale fund raiser will be from 10 a.m. until sold out Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Jacks Creek Fire Station, St. Rt. 100 E and 22A. Cost is $20 per gallon. Southwest Head Start Applications now
