4-H Chick Chain deadline is Friday

4-H Chick Chain project deadline is Friday April 1. Any 4-H member grades 4-12 can participate in this project. This project teaches young people recommended management practices for growing and raising chickens. They are responsible for the care of 12 or 24 chickens that they raise to be strong and healthy. In October, the students bring 3 chickens back to show and auction to members of the community. This is an incredible opportunity that will teach your 4-H member about how hard work pays off and they will see that first hand when they collect their money from selling their chickens at the 4-H Chick Chain Auction. Be sure to call the Extension Office (731-989-2103) no later than Friday April 1 if your student is interested.
