Beef producers from all across the state will be traveling to Murfreesboro this weekend for the 2020 Tennessee Cattlemen’s Convention and Trade Show at the Embassy Suites Hotel. The event will kick-off on Friday morning and continue through Saturday. You can attend either or both days.
Governor Bill Lee will be speaking at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. For more details go to tncattle.org or check out their Facebook page at Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association.
The Tennessee beef integrated resource management calendars are now available here at the UT Extension – Chester County office, come by and pick up a copy. This calendar has been developed to assist you in formulating an overall management plan for your beef operation.
TAEP approval letters were sent out in early December for 2020. Applicants are to wait until they receive their complete TAEP reimbursement packages before submitting their reimbursement requests. Reimbursement packets will be mailed in sometime in January 2020.
The UTBEEF.COM website is a great tool to use year round. You will find helpful articles related to beef and forage production. I encourage you to follow the UT Beef and Forage Center Facebook page on a regular basis. They have weekly Facebook live sessions throughout the year.
Feel free to call us at 989-2103 or stop by and visit your local UT Extension office here in Chester County and be sure to follow us on Facebook at UT Extension-Chester County.
We would be happy to assist you with your livestock and forage operation.
