Two Eagles’ pitchers work together to shutout Lexington Middle Tigers

The Chester County Junior High School Eagles defeated Lexington Middle 18-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Dhanin Patel induced a fly out at opponent to finish off the game.
They were boosted by Dean Estes who went five-for-five at the plate. Estes doubled in the first, doubled in the third, doubled in the fourth and singled in the fifth.
The Eagles tallied ten runs in the fifth inning. CCJHS Eagles 2021’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Kyson Taylor, Dean Estes, Caleb Cole, Brooks Johnson, and Ethan Rhodes, a triple by Peyton Barham, and a groundout by Lane Estes.
A single by a Lexington Tiger in the first inning was a positive for Lexington Middle.
Dean Estes earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for his team. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking one. Patel threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
CCJHS racked up 19 hits on that day. Dean Estes, Jayce Goff, Kyson, Caleb Cole, and Chase Garner each managed multiple hits for CCJHS.
Dean went five-for-five at the plate to lead CCJHS Eagles 2021 in hits. CCJHS tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. Cole led the way with three. The Junior Eagles did not commit a single error in the field. Brooks had the most chances in the field with nine.
