Annual Henderson/Chester County events remain on December calendar

The annual Henderson/Chester County Christmas Parade and Freed-Hardeman University Benefit Dinner events are slated to take place as scheduled.
The Henderson/ Chester County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging Christmas parade participants and spectators to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Parade participants will not be allowed to approach the crowd or hand out anything to the crowd. The parade is set to begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 3, with the Third Annual Christmas Tree Lighting scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Freed-Hardeman Universtiy plans to implement the following steps and precautions at the annual FHU Benefit Dinner, in an effort help keep patrons and attendees COVID free.
Screening – All guests will be screened before entering. Guests will first stop at the concierge station for a temperature check. If a guest’s temperature is above 100.4 he or she will not be able to enter the venues. “Protect the Pride” stickers will be distributed to identify those who have been screened. Attendees will be asked to wear the sticker throughout the evening.
Masks will be required at all locations.
Social Distancing will take place.
Guest Seating – Guests will be ushered to seats either on the balcony or on the main level. When one arrives, they will inform the usher how many participants are in their party. Then, they will be led by the ushers to seats as they utilize every available seat while also social distancing. Dinner locations will be arranged to accommodate social distancing. Loyd Auditorium will be limited to 50 percent capacity and guests will be seated to maintain social distancing between parties.
Entrances will be limited – Entrances to all dinner locations and Loyd Auditorium will be limited to accommodate the guest screening process.
