Austin Ketchum signs to play Freed-Hardeman University Golf

Austin Ketchum of Chester County high school signed with the Lions golf program, making him the third addition to the 2023 recruiting class.
During his junior year at Chester County, Ketchum carded his first hole-in-one during a match. He shot 76 (+4) in the district tournament which earned him a second place finish and a team win. In his regional tournament, Ketchum shot 77 (+5) putting him in fourth overall and gaining another team win. At the state tournament, he shot 88 (+16) the first round and 75 (+3) the second round, putting him in a tie for 21st overall and a team seventh place.
During his final year at Chester County, he picked up an individual win at Chickasaw Golf Course by firing two-under-par 70. His best nine hole match was 35 (-1), also at Chickasaw. At the district tournament, he shot 79 (+7) as his team earned second place. At regionals, Ketchum shot 77 (+5), earning him a tie for third overall as his team won. At his senior year state tournament, he shot 77 (+5) in the first round and 81 (+9) in the second. This put him in a tie of 13th place overall as his team finished fourth.
Ketchum joins Brady Webb and Bradden Riddle, both from Jackson Christian School, in the 2023 recruiting class. Ketchum is the son of Josh and Amanda Ketchum.
