Besso’s Coffee in Henderson raised $5500 for tornado victims in neighboring McNairy County by donating every purchase, tip and contribution Friday, April 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Celebrity baristas included McNairy Co. Fire Chief Steve Stoll, Herman Beachy, Rodney Beachy and Hannah Thompson. Kent Beachy, Kim Beachy, Stephanie Stoll, Amy Beachy and Trent Harris performed live music for a packed house. Amy Beachy helped Besso’s coordinate the event. “McNairy Strong” stickers, created by Freed-Hardeman student Kozy Hubbard, are for sale in Besso’s. Hubbard’s hometown of Covington was also impacted during recent storms.
