Formerly a coffee shop owned by Drs. Carey Frix and Nicole Jennings, Besso’s returns to serve the Henderson/ Chester County community under new ownership.
The coffee shop is co-owned by Tim West, Wendi West, Cameron West, Heather West, Jason Bramblett and Dawn Bramblett.
Tim and Wendi West are owner/operators who have both called Henderson home at different times. They moved to Henderson after a couple of decades of work and raising a family in Thompson’s Station/Williamson County, Tennessee. A registered nurse, Wendi has worked at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital since 2018, following more than 20 years of service as a nurse at Baptist Hospital in Nashville and in Kentucky and Georgia. Tim has served in a variety of careers — from preacher to financial advisor to restaurant manager. They have three children, Cameron, Kayla and Garrett.
Cameron and Heather West are owners who live on the North Carolina/Georgia border, where Cameron is a financial advisor and Heather is a health and wellness coach and former teacher. They are expecting their first child, Braxton, in September 2020. Cameron and Heather met while they were students who came to FHU from Middle Tennessee
Owners Jason and Dawn Bramblett both graduated from Freed-Hardeman and eventually made Henderson their home. Dawn moved back from her hometown of Union City, Tennessee, in 1994 to be the alumni director at FHU, and Jason moved back when he married Dawn in 1999. They have owned Bramblett Group since 2006.
That marketing/advertising/public relations firm happens to be across the street from Besso’s. The Brambletts are the parents of Drew and Hallie.
The team of them want Besso’s to be a place centered around community.
“We’re hoping that for the community, this is a place of connection, a gathering, a place where community actually feels ownership. We, we want this to be the community’s place,” said Tim.
The shop has The Besso’s Community Fund which ties in all three aspects of Besso’s mission to connect us with one another: coffee, service and community.
Guests who would like to benefit from the Besso’s Community Fund may place an order as a guest of the fund. Those who have an opportunity to serve others through this fund may make a donation at the cash register or purchase a T-shirt or sticker with the Chester County map on it. Proceeds from those sales will be added to the fund. Owners contribute to the fund as well.
A message from the owners is: “We are thrilled to rely on the expertise of Kevin and Stacie Herrell to bring you the proven quality of Vantage Coffee, served by Higher Ground Coffee Co. in Martin and Union City, Tennessee. We’re also honored to serve you another West Tennessee favorite — the gelato that Drs. Carey Frix and Nicole Jennings introduced to our area when they opened this beautiful downtown location in 2006. Thank you for sharing your time and allowing us to serve you! We hope that you will find your community here, as Besso’s family.”
In the end Jason said, “I just hope and pray that God is glorified by what we do here.”

Tons of people throughout the Henderson/ Chester County community joined the members of Besso’s as they celebrated their opening with a ribbon cutting on Friday July 17. besso’s is located at 112 West main Street. They are open 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday – Saturday and closed on Sunday.
