Last Friday, the Chester County Eagles Football season came to a close.
The Eagles were able to leave victorious against North Side, but due to their region record, they fell short of making the playoffs this year.
At halftime, the game seemed bleak for Chester County with the Eagles down 7-3.
The Eagles were able to change the game in the fourth quarter though.
First Colton Trice caught an interception in the endzone which led to a scoring drive with a catch from Evan Schippers to Chad Barham.
On the next drive, Eagles’ linebacker Cooper Bates caught an interception to allow the Eagles to just kill the clock. However, running back Peyton Barham got himself six points as well after breaking a tackle with a spin move.
North Side then started taking long shots down field and CCHS got yet another interception by Antaveon Swift, and that was the game. The final score was 16-7.
For the last game of the season, the players of the week were Chad Barham and Bates.
Chad Barham led his team offensively with 8 receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown, while Bates led his team defensively with 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and an interception.
