Monday, April 5, ended with wins by both the Chester County High School Softball Team and the CCHS Baseball team.
By the end of it all, both teams were victorious and sealed their wins while they were up by three.
CCHS Softball kept control of their game and won 3-0 against Scotts Hill.
In the third inning, Madison Burton sent home Lana Rowland even though she got out at first.
Then Tori Trice sent Heather McMahan home with a single.
The Lady Eagles scored their third run later in the game and continued to play the necessary defense to keep Scotts Hill scoreless.
Some great moments the girls had include a diving catch for an out by Kara Pipkin, and Leslie Salvador helping her team out on a double play after catching a fly ball near home plate and throwing the ball to first since Scotts hill’s base runner did not tag up.
For the Eagles, though they have been fighting to find homeplate this year so far with a record of 1-8 before their game against McNairy on Monday, they found a way to get some runs.
The Eagles were down 2-0 going into the fifth inning, but managed to score five runs during the inning to take the lead.
Then, they did their job on defense to seal the win at 5-2 making their record 2-8.
