As of Monday, Nov. 29, a total of 3,589 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Chester County since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020. This is approximately 32 new cases for the past two weeks. Of the total cases, 23 were currently active. “Active” cases are determined by the amount of time which has lapsed since diagnosis. At 14 days out from a positive test, cases are considered inactive or recovered, with the exception of those resulting in death, and sometimes seem to cause a discrepancy between “total cases” and “active” cases. The number of inactive or recovered cases is 3,490. Total COVID-related deaths in the county remains at 76. The county also reports 37.37% of local residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination with 33.77% having received both doses or series completion.
Tennessee reports a total of 1,314,188 cases statewide with 1,283,862 recorded as inactive or recovered and 17,001 deaths related to the coronavirus.
Tennessee Department of Health shows 55.8% of Tennesseans have received at least one dose of a vaccination regiment, and 49.4% of Tennesseans are fully vaccinated.
