The Chester County Eaglettes and Eagles both were able to celebrate Homecoming night last Tuesday after defeating Hardin County.
The Eaglettes won 41-37 in a close game that went down to the last minute of play, but the Eaglettes were able to pull it off.
The Eagles’ game on the other hand was not close at all.
At the end of their game, the final score was 69-44.
“I think the girls executed the gameplan really well… I thought we took care of the ball really well,” Eaglettes Head Coach Lee Pipkin said.
She mentioned she was proud of how some girls have improved over the course of the season.
“Daisy McManus really stepped up. She has just really improved in just the last few weeks. Ally Campbell played well. She got some good baskets… I told her, ‘Ally, you play really good defense, anything we can get from you offensive wise is just icing on the cake. I thought she contributed. Blakely Wilson and Jena Melton, when they came in, I thought they gave us some good minutes,” Pipkin said.
Unfortunately, both Chester County teams suffered a loss when they competed against Lexington on Friday.
The girls lost in a close match of 45-42 and the boys lost 63-53.
The teams played their last regular season games on Tuesday versus McNairy. Read next week’s issue to find out how their regular season ended and details on the post season.
