The Chester County Boys’ Basketball team lost their first regular season game with a loss against Jackson Christian 82-60.
In the first half, Chester County couldn’t keep up with JCS after they let JCS get ahead 22-7 at the end of the first quarter.
The first half also included CC getting a lot of fouls which JCS took advantage of by gaining some more points from the free throw line.
Chester County’s new Basketball Head Coach Kody Howard said he’s aware of the fouls that the team did, but isn’t worried about them being in danger of fouling out due to the depth that the team has.
The CC Eagles came out of the locker room after halftime with the urge to make a come back though after being behind by about 20 points and managed to close the gap to a five point difference in the third. Unfortunately, they fell behind again in the fourth.
“I’m really proud of the effort from our guys the second half. If we could have done that for 32 minutes, I feel like we could have come away with the ‘W’,” Howard said. “We didn’t yell at them or anything at halftime.
We just told them to act like you belong out there because you do.’”
The Eagles return from the holiday with a game at Humboldt on Tuesday December 3.
