The Chester County Eaglettes pulled off a win against Jackson Christian on Tuesday Nov. 19 to start the season.
The final score ended up at 49-45.
The Eaglettes were down the first half with the score at the end of the first being 17-10 and the halftime score being 26-22.
After halftime though, Chester County did what was needed to get ahead in the third which led them to start the fourth quarter while being up by nine points.
The fourth quarter thus became a battle until the end. Nonetheless, the Eagles kept their lead and won the game.
The Chester County Eaglettes just recently were able to practice with the full team present due to other commitments players had such as fall sports and others, so they still have to build as a team according to head coach Lee Pipkin. However, she said that once the team chemistry is built up that they will be doing even better than they are now.
“It was a good game to start out on. It exposed some things we need to work on,” Pipkin said. The girls were able to make mistakes and still end up being successful. It gives you confidence and that’s what these girls need.”
The Eaglettes return from the holiday with a game at Humboldt on Tuesday December 3.
