Chester County Election Commissioners recognized

On May 6, Members of the Chester County Election Commission and Election Office staff were recognized by the Secretary of State Tre Hargett, and Coordinator of Elections Mark Goins, for their years of service to the citizens of Chester County.
Commissioner Pat Weatherington has served 30 years, Chairman Stephen Morris has served 15 years, Commissioner Bill Moore has served 15 years, Deputy Linda Skinner has served 15 years, Commissioner KB Doyle has served 10 years, and Administrator of Elections Kathy Vest has served 10 years. Commissioner Sylvia Flowers, Chief Deputy Stephanie Duck and Deputy Sheila Watkins have each served five years.
This group represents a total of 110 years of experience protecting the integrity of Chester County Elections.
Kathy Vest also received a Proclamation Certificate from the Tennessee Senate (Office of the Chief Clerk) in Nashville, Tennessee on April 30 signed by Randy McNally, Speaker of the Senate, Page Walley, Senator of the 26th Senate District and Kirk Haston, Representative of the 72nd House District. Within the Proclamation it states, “WHEREAS, Ms. Vest epitomizes the spirit and commitment to community that are characteristic of a true Tennessean.”
Vest received this award for her contributions towards Chester County High School, after Chester County received the Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Award in April for achieving a 100% voter registration rate of the 178 eligible senior students this year. This is the third year in a row CCHS has received the Anne Dallas Dudley award with the previous two years attaining Silver.

Members of the Chester County Election Commission were recently recognized for their years of service for Chester County.
