Chester County High School students Solomon Smith and Josh Wade were on duty Tuesday at the Friendship voting location. The young men, as well as other Chester County youth, served as volunteers at polling stations across Chester County. Smith said this is his third year to volunteer, and has learned about civics and the voting process, adding it has been preparation for being of age to vote, himself. Wade stated he has learned much in this, his first year to volunteer, explaining, “There are a lot of delegates; and very different people running for the same (office). I’ve watched people struggle to pick between.” Smith and Wade said their journey began with a call to Kathy Vest with the Chester County Election Commission.
