Chester County High School Tennis starts season with two wins

Chester County High School’s tennis teams opened up their season against Milan on Tuesday, March 15. The girls team won 6-1 with singles wins from Emma Grace Miller, Cecily Davis, Grace Compton and Brooke Ketchum along with doubles wins from Miller/Davis and Compton/Katie Lovelace. The boys team swept Milan with a 7-0 victory. Ethan Mullins, Carter Welch. Clayton Austin, Evan Eads, and Austin Ketchum all picked up singles wins. Doubles teams Welch/Eads and Mullins/Nathan Britt also picked up wins. Both teams advanced to 2-0 on the season Thursday, March 17, after defeating South Gibson County. The girls won 6-1 with Miller, Davis, Compton, and B. Ketchum picked up wins in singles again. Both doubles teams, Miller/Davis and Compton/Lovelace, also won. The boys team won 5-2 with singles wins from Mullins, Welch, Austin, and A. Ketchum. Mullins/Britt also won their doubles match to help seal the deal for the Eagles win.
