The Chester County Historical Society met at the Senior Center on Feb. 3. Guest speaker was Beverly Morton, Chester County Assessor of Property. She presented an interesting PowerPoint history of property taxes from ancient times until today. Special emphasis was placed on taxes for special purposes such as war.
