Both the Chester County Junior High Girls’ and Boys’ teams came out on top Monday night against Hardin County. The girls won 23-13 and the boys won 32 -14.
The girls had a slow start offensively, but began to pull away from the Tigers in the second quarter after putting more pressure on the Tigers defensively.
The boys started off their game with that level of defense. During the first quarter the Eagles continually stole the ball away from the Tigers and put them in pressure situations that forced them to call timeouts. The Tigers didn’t even have an opportunity to score in the quarter with it ending 9-0. The Eagles continued this throughout the game.
“I thought our intensity was good on the press,” Head Coach Bobby Helton said.
