With a renewed confidence and team mantra of “We Believe,” the CCJHS Eagles’ baseball team was led to the Bolivar Middle School field by Head Coach Chad Hanna and Assistant Coach Colby Brown. Lane Estes (3) took the mound and pitched a complete shutout against the Tigers. Jaden Weaver (11) had a hot bat in the box with two incredible triple hits. The hits kept coming from Braylin Robinson and Dayton Lemmings. The Varsity Eagles pulled out a shutout win with a score of 10-0.
The Junior Varsity Eagles picked up where the varsity left off. By the end of the first inning, the Eagles put a total of 8 runs on the board. A. Sanford took to the pitcher’s mound with impressive talent and went three up and three down. Once back in the batter’s box, the Eagles continue running up numbers on the scoreboard. N. Warren nailed a hard line drive to the outfield and earned a triple. The final score was 12-0.
Both coaches were impressed with the team and look forward to the season.
