On Friday night, the CCJHS Eagles baseball team traveled to Scott’s Hill to take on the Henderson South team. Jaden Weaver was the first up to bat, and with one power swing, he sent the ball over the centerfield fence. The fans and team erupted with applause and cheers. Later in the lineup, Lane Estes stepped up to the plate and launched the ball over the centerfield fence. The Eagles’ team cleared the dugout and met Estes at home plate with cheer. After three outs, Weaver took to the pitcher’s mound with a smile and arm and led his team with incredible pitching while being backed up by his defense. In the fourth inning, Weaver and Estes both hit yet another homerun. Along with Weaver and Estes, hit leaders of the night were Wilson Weeks, Heath Stewart and Keaton Turner. The Eagles took home the win with a final score of 14-1. The JV Eagles followed up with a 8-1 win of their own.
