The Chester County Library invites Chester County students to participate in the Chester County Library “Tails and Tales” Story Writing Contest.
With the theme being “Tails and Tales,” the library asks for writers to submit their own animal tale. Stories can be from the writer’s imagination or be a personal story. The stories can be as short or as long as the writer desires.
Entries should be submitted no later than July, 7.
Entries are divided into the different grade levels of: Pre-K – first grade, second – fifth grade, sixth – eighth grade and ninth – twelfth grade. Contestants will be placed according to the grade they are entering for the 2021-22 academic year. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded at the awards day on July 28, which is an all day event.
Entries can be typed or handwritten. All of the entries must be original work.
Illustrations may be included. Registration forms can be found at the library.
All entries will be photocopied and added to the library collection so that participants can be a local author in the Chester County Library’s collection.
The contest will be judged by the Word Weavers group that meets at the Chester County Library.
