Chester County Mayor’s Salary Increased

At the City Board meeting on Thursday Jan 9. the Mayor and Board of Aldermen approved the passage of an ordinance setting the mayor’s salary at $76,500. The current salary is 70,000. This will not go into effect until September 2020 which is after the election. All aldermen present approved; Michael Phelps was absent.
Also during the meeting, the city board approved the purchase of a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado LT for the Utility Department.
Darryl Green, Henderson Utility Director, informed the board at the end of the meeting that during the car wreck incident at the sewage lagoon, the only thing needing to be repaired is the fence surrounding the lagoon. The lagoon itself did not sustain any damage.
