City board to vote on setting Mayor’s salary

The Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen will meet tonight, Jan 9. to have the final reading of considering passage of an ordinance setting the mayor’s salary.
The new salary would not go into effect until after the 2020 mayorial election.
The board also plans to consider purchasing a pickup truck on state contract for the Utility Department and consider taking bids on a security fence for the utility department building at 60 Record Drive.
During the “Other Business” portion of the meeting, the board will report on bids received and the award to the low bidder R. Jones Underground for the Utility Extensions on Porter Way.
