Short-covering helped out the corn market, which is showing some relief after the bout of selling that occurred this week. “Bargain buyers emerged at the lower levels,” Ami L. Heesch of CHS Hedging said.

After Monday’s “ultra-bearish” report, the market has bled lower, but with no panic bounce, “we need to see that to form a near-term bottom,” Oliver Sloup of Blue Line Futures said. “It’s a technical graveyard and the bears remain in control.”
