As of Monday, October 11, a total of 3,470 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Chester County since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020. This is an increase of 57 cases in the past week, 11 fewer than last week’s increase. Of the total cases, 80 are currently active, which is a decrease of 34 active cases since last week. “Active” cases are determined by the amount of time which has lapsed since diagnosis. The number of inactive or recovered cases is 3,319. Total COVID-related deaths in the county have increased by three this week to 71. The county also reports 36.09% of local residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, with 32.41% having received both doses, or series completion.
Tennessee reports a total of 1,253,863 cases statewide with 1,208,867 recorded as inactive or recovered and 15,583 deaths related to the coronavirus.
Tennessee Department of Health shows 53.3% of Tennesseans have received at least one dose of a vaccination regiment, and 47.7% of Tennesseans are fully vaccinated.
At 14 days out from a positive test, cases are considered inactive or recovered, with the exception of those resulting in death, and sometimes seem to cause a discrepancy between “total cases” and “active” cases.
