As of Tuesday, September 7, a total of 3,006 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Chester County since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020. This is an increase of nearly 200 cases in just the past week. Of that number, 247 cases are currently active, which is a decrease of 8 active cases since last week. Total COVID-related deaths in the county are 57. The number of inactive or recovered cases is 2,702. The county also reports 34.13% of local residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, with 28.35% having received both doses, or series completion.
Tennessee reports a total of 1,109,923 cases statewide with 1,007,262 recorded as inactive or recovered and 13,721 deaths related to the coronavirus. Tennessee Department of Health shows 50.4% of Tennesseans have received at least one dose of a vaccination regiment, and 42.5% Tennesseans are fully vaccinated.
