Hello from Deanburg! Searching for Deanburg people to call or text me your family’s birthdays or any news you want share with us, like a new baby; we all like to brag on our babies; you can also send news about weddings, wedding anniversaries in the family, trips you want to share, etc. It has been a thing of the past that anyone shared anything for this column. I would really like to hear from you and get this column back to what it was intended for. One thing I really need is the deaths. If I do not know, I cannot announce it to the community for condolences and prayers for the family.
I have had this column for 15 years, and Curtis Lynch had it before. I took it over because he was not posting anything because he was not getting any response from our community. Well, it has not improved, so I really feel let down. To kept our Deanburg News going we need news!
Birthdays this week are Rick Enfinger on 7/1, Esther Murley on 7/2, Zoey Long on 7/2 and Diane Fish on 7/5. Hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing birthday!
Orban’s and my 58th anniversary is 7/3. It is hard to believe that a woman can live with a man that long! Ha! Happy Anniversary, Orban!
Our prayer list is small, and that is because no one will let me know they have someone sick that needs prayers. Prayers work, and the more, the better. Maybe these scriptures will encourage you to get them to me. This will be our devotion for this week.
Philippians 4:6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Romans 8:26 – “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” I pray you all have a blessed week and keep smiling and showing kindness to everyone.
