I know you have all enjoyed our weather, but we are in much need of rain in Deanburg. Someone told me that the Almanac says we will have a cold, wet winter…not looking forward to that.
Cora Talbot, I hope you have a very happy birthday. You are the only one this week. We have two that were born this week, but they have passed on – Curtiss Lynch and Mike Mays.
Happy anniversary to Lottie and Ray Lamport.
Continue to remember Woodie Deming, Kirsten Jones and Joyce Stewart in your prayers.
I will have had my eye surgery on Monday when you read this. As I am writing this on Sunday, I am anxious and praying for the best results. If they have to put in a gas bubble, I will be laying on my stomach for two weeks again. If so, I will not be able to do the news. Remember our first responders, our military and law enforcement. Please pray for Israel! So many of God’s people are being killed. It is just awful and sad.
Our devotion this week: “‘Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.’ (NLT) (Psalm 127:3)
“Children as true possessions of the Lord have such incredible value. As parents, caregivers, grandparents, and adults with influence we cannot take our calling to be shepherds of their hearts lightly.
“When we really consider our lives, what of our many investments do we expect to outlive us? Which of these pursuits hold true value? Passing on a heritage that included the hope of Heaven, faith in a God that cares for us, and the love of Jesus matters so much more than almost anything else we place our time and efforts into. It is a gift to be able to pass on God’s love to the next generation.” www.dailybibledevotions.com
Quote: “You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like there’s nobody listening, And live like it’s heaven on earth.” – William W. Purkey

Cost is $10 per person with child under three feet tall free. Tickets, food and drinks are for sale inside. All proceeds go to support Deanburg Community Center and Volunteer fire department.

Have a blessed week and keep smiling.
