The Chester County Eagles Football team had no trouble defeating McNairy Central.
The final score between the two was Chester County – 45 and Mcnairy Central – 14.
The Eagles totaled over 300 yards of offense with 157 passing yards and 149 rushing yards. Judiaz Prather and Chad Barham continue to be weapons for the Eagles offense with both of them getting three touchdowns. Barham remains to have the ability to make great catches sometimes with double coverage and Prather continues to fight through tackles that allows him to break for huge yardage.
Eagles quarterback and player of the week Evan Schippers is right up there with them in performance. Those 157 passing yards all came from just three of four passes putting him at 75% for the night.
“Our quarterbacks throwing some good balls too,” Head Coach Dewond Johnson said.
Our offense continues to get better and that’s the scary thing about them,” Johnson said.
Though the Eagles kept the Bobcats to two touchdowns, Coach Johnson says that the defense still has a way to go.
Right now I’m very concerned about our defense… We got to play better defense,” he said.
Johnson said he is still proud of his team.
“I’m proud of these young men. They keep getting better. We’re just not there yet. What’s so great about this bunch is that they’re so eager to learn and motivated to learn and they’re soaking up everything we’re trying to give them.”
