Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week of Fall Break. Our family sure did; we were in the mountains all week. The weather was perfect. No jackets were needed except when we hiked up to Clingman’s Dome. It was a little airy up there, but the view was definitely worth the walk! We saw several bears, some off our balcony, some down below the Sky Bridge and some on the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. The leaves were already changing, and it was beautiful. Gatlinburg never disappoints!
The Enville Volunteer Fire Department thanks everyone who came out to support their fish fry fundraiser. It was a success and fun was had by all at the cakewalk. They thank everyone who helped serve and brought cakes and all who did anything to help them. It was good to have Doris Ethridge and Savannah Carnell with us. We thank you for your support always!
Halloween is just around the corner! Maggie’s in Enville will host a Trunk or Treat from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 28. The public is invited to come and set up to hand out candy to all the little ghosts and goblins. They will be serving up barbeque and trimmings, hot dogs, chili/chili dogs, chips and drinks. You can purchase barbeque by the sandwich or plate. You may go inside to sit down and eat. Everyone, please bring your kiddos to trick or treat in downtown Enville!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Ann Hollin on Oct. 21, Billy Canaday on Oct. 22, Wes Hutcherson on Oct. 23 and Phyllis Russom and Larry Gilbert on Oct. 26. Happy Anniversary to Mike and Judy Pugh on Oct. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Ashley Pugh, Robert and Linda Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Agnes and Robert Smith, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Vicki Dickson, Anita Needler, Sherry Webb, Jean Pickett, Nicole Thompson, Emily Freeman, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Loretta Plunk, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, James Vinson, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Lee Trice, Clint Murley, Mike Finley, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country, Israel and the world and, as always, each other.
October is breast cancer awareness month. Prayers for all!
