Hello from Enville! I hope you all are enjoying your week. The temperatures are pretty nice, and I am thankful for the rain we had. I think we are expecting more in the days ahead.
The Enville Community Club held their annual veterans’ dinner and program last Tuesday night. We are very proud of the veterans who came. We all enjoyed a delicious meal. Our guest speaker was Paul Martin along with his wife, Joyce. He led our program and did an awesome job. We recognized our veterans and thanked them for their service to our country. We can not thank them enough for their sacrifice for us. Thank a veteran anytime you see them, not just on Veterans Day!
Thanksgiving Day is next week, Thursday, Nov. 23. Our first dinner is this Sunday with all Danny’s family. I think we all are ready for the turkey and dressing feast. On Thanksgiving Day, we will have all my family here to enjoy a feast. We all have fun and love the fellowship with both our families. Many churches will have their annual dinner and programs; they invite everyone to join their fellowship.
Happy birthday wishes go to Nelson Crowell and Aiden Jones on Nov. 17, Nita Middleton and Bobby O’Neal on Nov. 18, Frances Willis on Nov. 19, Kelly Weber on Nov. 21 and Alice Starnes on Nov. 22. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Pray for Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Agnes and Robert Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Janice and Danny Keen, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Loretta Plunk, Anita Needler, Vicki Dickson, Jean Pickett, Sherry Webb, James Vinson, Jimmy Robertson, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Mike Finley, Lee Trice, Clint Murley, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country and, as always each other.
If you have news, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat Cates at 688-5125.
Remember that each day is the day that the Lord has made; rejoice and be glad in it and always be thankful for your blessings!
