Hello from Enville! Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day was this week on Dec. 7. Pearl Harbor survivors, veterans and visitors came together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the attack on Dec. 7, 1941. There are remembrance events held at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial each year.
I hope you all enjoyed those 70 plus degrees last week, but after the rain and storms Sunday night, it has turned cold. I think we will have a few more days of warm weather later on this week, which is fine by me. This month is moving right along. We are inching closer to the winter season and Christmas. We enjoyed the Henderson Christmas parade last week and congratulations to Sanford Hill Baptist Church kids float for winning second place in the religious category. The theme was Happy Birthday, Jesus. Thanks to all participants.
The Enville Community Club had our Christmas party on Saturday evening at Molly Mondays in Savannah. The food was delicious, and the fellowship and program was wonderful. Everyone had a great time opening presents with lots of laughs. Thanks, Molly Monday’s, for a great night! We will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 4, 2022. Our potluck will be soup/chili, sandwiches, desserts and drinks. We welcome our members back, and also, we would love to have new members join us.
Enville says Happy Birthday to Kira and Tristan Weatherington on Dec. 10 and David Harwell on Dec. 16. Happy Anniversary to Wayne and Ann Pugh on Dec. 14 and Stan and Delana O’Neal on Dec. 15. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Jimmy Robertson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Jerry O’Neal, Rick Ooley, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Robert and Linda Johnson, Ann Pugh, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Eugene Springer, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military, those who have COVID, our schools, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each.
