Hello from Enville! I hope you all are enjoying your week. The temperatures are on the chilly side, but I guess it is supposed to be. It is December! The Christmas parade is Thursday night. I hope the weather cooperates so we can all enjoy it. Speaking of Christmas parades, Danny and I spent last week in Gatlinburg. We attended their parade, and it was amazing! That is the first time for us to be there at parade time. There were so many people, and the weather was great all week. We had a wonderful time!
Annie Massengill has some visitors for Thanksgiving. Ida and her daughter, Monica, came from Atlanta. Annie and Ida worked together for many years at FedEx in Memphis and became like family. We are always so glad to see them.
Our Enville Community Club had their annual Christmas dinner and party on Saturday night at Maggie’s Restaurant in Enville. We all had a great time; the food was delicious. We installed our 2024 officers, enjoyed our entertainment from Nita Middleton and opened gifts. We enjoyed the fun and fellowship!
Happy birthday wishes go to Zachary Thomas on Dec. 9 and Kira Weatherington and Tristan Weatherington on Dec. 10. Happy anniversary to Shane and Tanya Harwell on Dec. 9 and Wayne and Ann Pugh on Dec. 14. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Josh and Cynthia Godsey. They lost their two grandsons to a house fire last week in Leapwood, and one other person died also. This was so tragic and our hearts go out to them. Pray for Lisa Bishop, Robert and Linda Johnson, Agnes and Robert Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Nicole Thompson, Emily Freeman, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Loretta Plunk, Anita Needler, Vicki Dickson, Amanda Johnson, Sherry Webb, Jean Pickett, Kaye Killingsworth, James Vinson, Jimmy Robertson, Rick Ooley, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Mike Finley, Mike Pugh, Lee Trice, Clint Murley, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country and, as always, each other.

Have a blessed week everyone!
