Former Chester County business owner Edward Gaddy dies

Edward Smith Gaddy, former owner of Gaddy Lime and Gravel, passed away Oct. 5, 2020 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 4, 1928 in Memphis and grew up at Bethel Springs, the son of the late Ambrose Lafayette and Ruby Margaret Smith Gaddy. He attended school at Finger.
He married Johnnie Morrison. They made their home in Henderson. He worked as an auto mechanic and auto body repairman and then opened Gaddy Lime and Gravel in 1963, operating until 1996. He then drove a gravel truck for the Chester County Road Department, retiring in 2006.
He was a Chester County Constable for several years.
