Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions in third after first round

On March 20, the women’s golf team competed in the first round of the Blue Mountain Golf Classic today at the Old Waverly Golf Course. The team shot 350 and sits in a solo third place.
Junior Bailey Gilbert led the way for the team shooting 83 (+11). This puts her in a tie for 9th place. Next was sophomore Riya Key with an 87 (+15), placing her in solo 16th. Junior Sara Browning and sophomore Reagan Malone came in with a pair of 90s (+18). Rounding out the team score was freshman Makenzie Wilson with a 93 (+21).
The Lady Lions are in third place, 11 strokes behind Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) University and 8 strokes ahead of Brescia (Ky.) University.
