The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions soccer team’s difficulties continue as they fight through the juggernaut Mid-South Conference field. Concluding a lengthy slate of league matches on the road, the Lady Lions fell to the Thomas More (Ky.) University Saints 5-0.
Freed-Hardeman (5-6-1, 1-4-0 MSC) was forced to spend all 90:00 on their defensive half of the pitch, with Thomas More’s offense not allowing enough possession for the Lady Lions to attempt a shot.
On the other end of the pitch, the Saints (9-2-2, 4-2-0 MSC) netted two goals in the first half, followed by a three-goal second frame. All five goals from TMU were scored by different strikers with Ryann Meddings tallying a goal and an assist.
Brooke Latham faced 16 shots in the losing effort, keeping out six saves.
