Freed-Hardeman University announces 2019 Homecoming Royalty

Freed-Hardeman University students have chosen their representatives on the 2019 Homecoming Court.
The court will be presented Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m on Nov. 6. chapel service in Loyd Auditorium. The queen and king will be announced Saturday, Nov. 9, at halftime of the Lady Lions basketball game.
Nominees for Homecoming Queen are Emma Butt, a nursing major from Peachtree City, Georgia; Sarah Hester, an elementary education major from Florence, Alabama; and Elizabeth Wisdom, an elementary education major from Smyrna, Tennessee. Nominees for king include Sam Boyd, an English major from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Tucker Campbell, a marketing major from Michie, Tennessee; and Marshall Dearing, from Nashville, who is pursuing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business.
Freshman, sophomore and junior classes chose two men and two women to represent them. Freshmen representatives on the court are: Emily Beard, Corinth, Mississippi; Kayla Thomas, Henderson, Tennessee; Curt Graham, Spring Hill, Tennessee; and Wes Magee, Southaven, Mississippi. Sophomores elected Emily Stults, Muncie, Indiana; Maggie Nash, Jackson, Tennessee; Ben Painter, Cold Spring, Kentucky; and Chandler Ross, Florence, Alabama.
Members of the junior class selected the following representatives: Tara Crawford, Huntsville, Alabama; Cassidy Shrader, Columbia, Tennessee; Jack Cannon, Ashland City, Tennessee; and Hunter Hodge, Double Springs, Alabama.
FHU will begin celebrating Homecoming 2019 with Alumination Day, Nov. 8.
Events, including the grand re-opening of Old Main, reunions, concerts, club competitions and intercollegiate athletic contests, will continue through Sunday morning’s worship service. A complete schedule of events is available at fhu.edu/homecoming.
