Freed-Hardeman University Crowns 2021 Homecoming King and Queen

Freed-Hardeman University crowned its 2021 Homecoming King and Queen Saturday, Nov. 6, at the basketball game. Robert Young, Jr. of Rosedale, New York, was crowned king and Anniston Butler of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, was named queen.
The King and Queen were chosen by popular vote of the student body.
Young is a senior seeking a degree in psychology. He has been an Interface leader, a member of the Photography Club and an officer in Sigma Rho. He said he most appreciates the FHU faculty and staff “who lead and serve with love for the students.”
Following graduation, Young said he “will miss the amazing friends and new family he has created since his arrival.”
Butler, is in the dual degree program seeking a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as a master’s degree. She is a member of the Society of Future Marketers and Campus Delegate Team, as well as an officer in Xi Chi Delta.
When Butler graduates, she expects to miss “spending time with all of her friends and making memories through intramurals, retreats and club activities.”
Other nominees for king were Logan Richardson, a biblical studies and photography major from Florence, Alabama, and Chandler Ross, a biblical studies major from Florence, Alabama.
Other finalists for queen were Suzanna Grady, a biochemistry major from Murray, Kentucky, and Katie Hodges, a public relations major from Henderson, Tennessee.
All finalists for king and queen are members of the senior class. Other classes chose representatives from their classes to be a part of the court.
Representing the junior class were Amanda Blakeman, a chemistry major from South Rockwood, Michigan; Isaac Herod, a nursing major from Smyrna, Tennessee; John Sadler, a biology major from Katy, Texas; and Sarah Woodard, a nursing major from Dickson, Tennessee.
Sophomore members of the Homecoming court were Brinlee Benson, an elementary education major from Ringgold, Georgia; Abby Edmonds, a kinesiology and secondary education major from Covington, Tennessee; Joseph Green, an education major from Selmer, Tennessee; and Colton Hixson, a special education major from Columbia, Tennessee.
The freshman class was represented by Max Ballard, a kinesiology/exercise science major from Columbia, Tennessee; Cody Goodwin, a law and politics major from Cullman, Alabama; Riya Key, an accounting major from Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and Reagan Malone, a kinesiology major from Arab, Alabama.
