Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions Compete in Crossville

The women’s golf team played in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Spring Preview at the Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain. The Lady Lions played 36 holes today and shot 350 in the first round and 350 in the second round leaving them in a solo ninth place. Sophomore Reagan Malone led the way for the Lions by shooting 84 (+11)-86 (+13), giving her a 36 hole total of 170. Malone is in a tie for 22nd place. Up next is fellow sophomore Riya Key with 86 (+13)-87 (+14) for a total of 173. Junior Bailey Gilbert shot a pair of 88s (+15) leaving her a total of 176. Junior Sara Browning was next by shooting 92 (+19)-89 (+16) for a 181 total and senior Camille Blaylock was behind her with 97 (+24)-94 (+21) for a 191 total.
The Lady Lions are in a solo ninth place out of 11 teams and are seven shots behind Georgetown College (Ky.)
