Freed-Hardeman University Lions compete in MSC spring preview

The Lion’s golf team played the first and second rounds of the Mid-South conference spring preview at the Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain. The team played 36 holes today and shot 317 in the first round and 316 in the second round, leaving them in a solo 10th place.
Starting out the team’s score was Bowman Blocker. The senior fired 78 (+6) in the first round and 76 (+4) in the second round, giving him a 36 hole total of 154. Blocker is currently in a tie for 34th place. Next was junior Tyler Rhodes shooting 77 (+5)-81 (+9) giving him a total of 158. Fellow junior EJ Hill was up next, shooting 82 (+10)-78 (+6) giving him a 160 total. Right behind Hill was senior Wes Graham, who’s 80 (+8)-81 (+9) gave him a 161 total. Rounding out the team’s score was junior Austin Warren, shooting 82 (+10)-83 (+11) for a 165 total.
The team’s first round 317 and second round 316 gave them a total of 633, placing them in 10th. They are 12 strokes behind Georgetown College (Ky.) and 13 strokes ahead of Shawnee State (Ohio).
