Freed-Hardeman University’s Office of Alumni Engagement is seeking video submissions for a virtual video scrapbook celebrating FHU’s 150-year history. Director Chris Ramey said, “We recognize it is not the large moments in our history that make up the tapestry of Freed-Hardeman. The small moments — the shared faith, laughter, tears, prayers, late nights and meals — bind us for life.”
Alumni are asked to submit horizontal phone videos of their favorite FHU memories no later than Friday, May 1, for inclusion in the virtual video scrapbook. Submissions (five minutes or less) should be sent to alumni@fhu.edu.
In addition, the alumni office is seeking recordings of alumni singing the alma mater, “To Thee, Our Dearest FHU.” These should also be recorded on phones and emailed to alumni@fhu.edu by May 1.
Submissions will be used online at a later date.
Anyone who needs a copy of the music and lyrics for the alma mater can email alumni@fhu.edu for a copy.
“Campus sits quiet and empty right now,” Ramey said. “We realize more than ever that FHU is not the buildings; it is her people. We want to celebrate those people.”
