Freed-Hardeman University will hold its annual University Scholars’ Day Friday Oct. 28, 2022. This campus-wide event celebrates the scholarship put forth by individual and group research accomplishments.
Approximately 50 unique presentations and a variety of displays will be a part of the day’s schedule. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. in Loyd Auditorium and concludes at noon. Classes will be canceled for the day in order to provide full attendance by students, who will choose which sessions to attend based on their interests.
The keynote speaker is Katlyn G. Clifton, MA; MBA. She is executive director of Christian Towers and Manor and is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA, COS) and Certified Geriatric Doula (EOLD). Clifton is a 2009 alumna of FHU, earning her Bachelor of Science in psychology. During her time as an undergraduate, she developed a passion for end-of-life care, chaplaincy and grief care. After graduating from FHU, she earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Western Kentucky University and a second master’s degree in business administration. Currently, Clifton is completing a doctoral degree in gerontology. Her presentation to the entire campus is part of the opening session.
