Geraldo Lane wins MSC Freshman of the Year

FHU freshman Geraldo Lane has been named MSC freshman of the year. The conference coaches voted on the awards at the conclusion of the regular season and coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
Lane is a 6’5 guard from Huntsville, Al. In his freshman campaign, Lane averaged 9.8 points per game, second only to All-American point guard Kortland Martin. He shot 51.5% from the field and led Freed-Hardeman with 5.3 rebounds per game in 31 games this season.
With the loss of Kortland Martin, Lane will look to assert himself as the Lions leading scorer and the No.1 option on offense next season as a sophomore under head coach Drew Stutts.
