Heavy rainfall leaves floods and damage

Last week, Chester County and surrounding areas suffered through storms which delivered heavy rainfall and winds. Highway 45 South was flooded along with several other city and county roads. The flooding caused large sinkholes on Simmons Street and Old Jackson Road and others were also damaged by the heavy flooding. The Henderson Police Department, Chester County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Department of Transportation worked together in order to keep drivers out of the flooded/damaged areas.
