Henderson City board, beer board meet Thursday, February 9

The City of Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen is scheduled to meet in regular session at 7 p.m. this evening, Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Council Chamber of the Henderson City Hall. The Beer Board will meet immediately following the City Board.
On the agenda for the City board, delegation includes a presentation by Stewart Brown concerning Chester County High School Project Graduation and officer presentations by Police Chief Gary Davidson.
Other items include a discussion of the City Hall renovation progress, approval of the expected change order to repair the leaking windows and an update on the Utility Board Training requirements.
On the agenda for the Beer Board, in addition to other business, is a Show Cause Hearing. The following permit holder/business is accused of having an employee that sold alcoholic beverages to a minor: Kalbhairav Inc./DBA: Zippy’s; 3825 US Hwy 45 North – Henderson, TN 38340 – Permit #89.
The permit holder should attend and answer charges against them and should show cause why their permits should not be suspended or revoked. Under regulations of Tennessee Code Annotated and the Henderson Beer Ordinance, Section 8-214, the beer board may offer to the permit holders the option of paying a civil penalty of up to $2,500.00 for each offense of the sale of beer to a minor instead of the suspension or revocation of the permit.
