Henderson City board to discuss hiring fire chief

The Henderson Board and Aldermen will meet this evening, Thursday, Aug. 13.
During their meeting, they will discuss appointing a new fire chief for the Henderson Fire Department.
They will talk about filling the city board member position on the Planning Commission. The position had been held by Alderman Johny Farris, but since he did not seek re-election, the position will be vacant at the end of the month.
They will also have the final reading to rezone the Tax Parcels 029.00 in the proposed Hotel TIF area.They will discuss the following: considering bids received on a Breathing Air Compressor and eight SCBA (Air Packs) for the fire department, considering the purchase of a new Garbage Truck.
