Greetings! I am glad to be with you for another week. It is only by the grace of our God. Since the last time we were together, there has been so much destruction in the U.S.A., such as floods, fires and hurricanes. Some of us had families that lived through the devastation of these natural events and disasters, and some did not. Many have lost everything they owned and have no food or water. So no matter what is going on in our life today, look around and realize you/we are blessed! For this is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Fall will officially be here on 9/22/2023! It will be wonderful to see the fall decorations, the pumpkins, scarecrows, bales of straw, the corn stalks and the mums. I think the mums are so beautiful this time of the year. I love to drive around and admire all of the beautiful decorations, and one nice thing about fall decorations is that you can use it in September, October, and November for Thanksgiving.
The 45th annual Chester County BBQ Festival has kicked off and is ready for another great year. So come on down and eat some great food, meet people, enjoy the entertainment and have fun. Hope to see you there starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22.
Congratulations from the City of Henderson to Hunt Pipkin! We are so proud of you. Not many can say, “I performed at the Apollo in New York City,” but you can! I knew you had some soul in you. We love you and the family. We are praying for your health and well-being while there in New York! Keep up the hard work.
Can you believe we have three more months left in the year of 2023? To God be the GLORY! The year 2023 is about to end. What have we done in it to be proud of? Just think about it.
On the birthday list this week: Sylvia Flowers, Sept. 19. We hope you will have a blessed birthday.
On the prayer list this week: pray for our loved ones who are in the hospitals, for the ones that are sick in their homes, for our children, teachers and families and for the men and women who are serving our country.
Remember to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can. I would like to thank the ones that are calling and emailing me with your news. Keep it up and send me more. If you live in the City of Henderson and have news about your family, birthday, anniversary, announcements, and things happening in the City, I need to hear from you; text or call me at 608-6132.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
