The Henderson Police Department has partnered with the Freed-Hardeman University Criminal Justice Program with the hopes of starting Neighborhood Watch Programs.
Such programs have been started and are extremely successful across the nation in deterring crime and helping build stronger bonds between communities and law enforcement stated Chief Gary A. Davidson.
“We are asking for anyone that lives in the City of Henderson, who would be interested in assisting with or learning more about this program, to call the Henderson Police Department. You can reach the Henderson Police Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 983-5035.”
“It is our ultimate goal to have Neighborhood Watch Programs throughout the city, on every street, subdivision and apartment complex. I truly believe this would make our city even safer and continue to build those bonds between neighbors and the police,” stated Chief Davidson.
